Bridgit Ann White, Esq
Bridgit Ann White was born and raised in Texas. She attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in government. Ms. White then attended law school at Loyola University, New Orleans School of Law, graduating in the top 25% of the common law curriculum. While at Loyola she earned an excellence in law award for her work in creditor’s rights in bankruptcy. Ms. White also took on the responsibilities of a Regional Coordinator for the Jessup International Moot Court Competition, a position usually filled by a faculty member, hosted at Loyola University for the first time in 1997.
Shortly after graduation, Ms. White joined the Cochran Law Firm as an associate. Her practice was focused on plaintiff’s medical malpractice litigation. Ms. White was introduced to business litigation at The Cochran Law Firm and left shortly thereafter to pursue a career as a business litigator.
In March of 2002, Ms. White joined Pendergraft & Associates, which became Pendergraft & Simon in 2004. While at Pendergraft & Associates, Ms. White often assisted Gammon & Associates as litigation counsel representing homeowner’s associations in the enforcement of their by-laws and declarations. While at Pendergraft & Simon, Ms. White’s docket consisted of complex commercial litigation cases involving multi-party, multi-claim disputes over assets of significant value. Ms. White is highly experienced in handling cases involving fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, R.I.C.O., breaches of contract, theft of trade secrets, usury, business disparagement, Lanham Act claims, and construction defect claims. Ms. White is also highly familiar with the intricacies of various business forms in Texas including, but not limited to general partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and professional associations. Ms. White’s experience spans both state and federal courts and she is admitted in the Southern District of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. While at Pendergraft and Simon, Ms. White had the opportunity work with start-up companies and assist with the drafting of LOI’s and MOU’s. She has drafted numerous settlement agreements and confidentiality agreements. In 2006, Ms. White made her first argument to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals defending a District Court judge’s decision to abstain from hearing a bankruptcy appeal.
In March 2007 Ms. White developed her own practice taking different assignments from different law firms in need of intense research and legal analysis.
Ms. White joined Richard J. Plezia & Associates at its inception to focus on the complex issues of litigation and to provide appellate overview including in depth legal analysis to the many issues and consequences that arise in today’s legal enviroment.
